Idola
The Latin word "idola" is the plural form of "idolum," which means "idol" or "image." The etymology of the word traces back to the Greek word "εἴδωλον" (eidolon), which means "reflection," "image" or "phantom."
"Idola" editorial consists of three different sets in which the models resemble to rare flowers and insects in an unconventional way, through bold, statement-making looks characterized by vivid colors, innovative makeup, and dynamic styling. The models' dramatic poses and expressive facial features emphasize the power of uniqueness and the beauty found in the unexpected.
In this editorial, I explore the daring intersection of alternative fashion and avant-garde artistry, by challenging traditional beauty standards and celebrating individuality.
"Idola" is a visual representation of the freedom to be oneself, irrespective of societal expectations.
