Sirena
My very first photoshoot, in the 20 square meters of an old house in Ano Poli, using only what I had in my house and driven by my need to give existence in something that doesn't exist.
For this project, I made some sculptures from isomalt trying to create props that resemble to sea flowers.
For the bra, I used anti-slip, silicone, star-shaped bath mats and for the crown I used plastic cocktail picks.
In Philippine mythology, the Sirena is a mythological aquatic creature with the head and torso of a human female from waist down and the tail of a fish. The Sirena has a beautiful and enchanting voice that can attract and hypnotize males, especially fishermen. They sing to sailors and enchants them, distracting them from their work and causing them to walk off ship decks or cause shipwrecks. When the men hear these songs, they are hypnotized and abducted by them. Some folk traditions claim that the Sirena carry their victims under the sea, sacrificing them to water deities.
